Do you offer voice service?
No, our service is for SMS text messaging only, no voice and no data.
Will the phone I have work?
You need to have an UNLOCKED GSM device. A QWERT SIM Card will be shipped to you that you will simply insert into your handset.
What is an unlocked handset?
An unlocked handset is one that can be used with any GSM network. Carriers “lock” handsets so that the handset only works on their particular network. Once a handset has been unlocked, it can be used on any GSM network. Locked handsets can be unlocked using a simple software code obtained from either the carrier or from online unlocking companies.
Where do I insert the QWERT SIM Card?
Each handset style is different, but very simple. The SIM card is usually inserted into a slot located under or behind the battery.
Why text only?
QWERT plans are a great way to save money on rarely used voice features. Text only plans are perfect for kids and teens, deaf/hard of hearing, and small business communications. Add a QWERT plan to your WiFi enabled handset and have data and voice (through VoiP applications like Skype) in WiFi hotspots and QWERT text everywhere else.
Do you only service the Deaf and Hard of Hearing?
No, our service is for everyone who wants to send and receive text messages for a low monthly fee.

What about 911 Service?
FCC 911 rules require wireless service providers to transmit all 911 calls to a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), regardless of whether the caller subscribes to the local provider’s service or not. However, you will need to check with the handset manufacturer to confirm capability, as well as compatibility with local E911 operations.
How long will it take to receive my QWERT SIM card after I’ve subscribed?
After you subscribe, your QWERT SIM card will be mailed to you on the next business day (no shipping charge). Depending on your location, it will take 2-4 days to reach you.
Does QWERT have contracts?
No, our service is a prepaid month-to-month service that is automatically billed to your credit card, bank or PayPal account. You may cancel at any time with no fees. If you wish to suspend your QWERT subscription, contact us.
Can I keep the phone number I have?
No, QWERT Corp is not a phone service provider. Therefore, you will be given a 10-digit QWERT number (like any other 10-digit cell number) when you become a subscriber.
Can I transfer my QWERT number to a voice provider?
No, your QWERT number is not a phone number, it is a QWERT number for SMS text messaging only.
Can I send pictures on a QWERT plan?
You may take and store pictures on your handset, but cannot send pics using a QWERT plan. Depending on your particular handset, pictures can be transfered from your handset to a computer and then sent via email.
Can I send or receive international text messages?
No, international texting is NOT permitted using the QWERT network. Attempts to send or receive international text messages will result in suspension of your QWERT subscription and will incur a charge of $0.50/text. Notification on terms and conditions of reinstatement of your QWERT subscription will be sent via email. QWERT reserves the right to terminate any account for abusive practices, as determined at our sole discretion.
Do you have local offices?
No, in order to keep our prices low, all services are conducted via the Internet.
How long will it take for the SIM to reach me?
The SIM card will ship the next business day after you sign up. It usually takes between 2 and 4 days to reach you, depending on where you live.
Is there an activation fee?
Yes, there is an activation fee of $9.99.
Will I have to pay a suspension fee if I cancel service with my current provider?
Possibly. If you choose to cancel your current phone service, your provider can charge you any suspended penalty outlined in your contract should you cancel your service with them before your contract expires.
When does the billing cycle begin?
You will be billed on the 7th of each month. The first month of service is prorated. After the first month’s proration, your PayPal account will then be automatically charged on the 7th of each month.
What happens if I miss a payment?
If you miss a payment your QWERT subscription will be suspended. You can reactivate your subscription by clicking here. There is a reactivation fee of $9.99. Your QWERT number will be held for reactivation for 30 days. Failure to reactive within the 30 days may result in loss of your current QWERT number.
What does it mean if my plan has been suspended?
Your account has been suspended if you missed a payment or have reached your 400 text limit (limit for Basic Text Plan). You can reactivate your account on the reactivation page.
How many texts are included in the Basic Text Only Plan?
Users can send and receive a total of 400 texts per month. The 400 text limit is refreshed on the 8th of each month.
What if I use all 400 texts on my Basic Text Only Plan before the month is up?
Your account will be suspended and you will receive an email notification of the suspension. You can reactivate your Basic Plan here . A $9.99 reactivation fee applies. You may also wait until your account is charged at the beginning of the next billing cycle and your 400 texts per month are restored. You should consider upgrading to the Unlimited Text Only Plan for just $19.99 per month. Basic Plan users will not be charged a reactivation fee to upgrade!
If I upgrade from a Basic Text Only Plan to the Unlimited Text Only Plan, will I be charged an activation fee?
No. QWERT subscribers can upgrade for free to the Unlimited Text Only Plan for just $19.99. If your account has been suspended a reactivation fee of $9.99 may be applied in order to keep your original QWERT number.
If I upgrade from the Basic to the Unlimited Plan, will I get to keep my QWERT number?
Yes. QWERT may assign a new number if your account has not been reactivated in over 30 days.
If I use an unlocked WiFi enabled GSM device, will I be able to use VoIP and data services with my QWERT plan?
Yes. Your QWERT plan works on any unlocked GSM phone and is a great way to save money on voice and data service. With a QWERT plan, you can always stay in touch through text messaging, even outside of WiFi hotspots.
What is your policy on refunds?
QWERT cannot grant refunds in instances of inadequate coverage or instances of user error, such as locked SIM cards. Activation fees are not refundable. Handset refunds are only offered for unopened handsets. Shipping and Handling fees cannot be refunded. Please see the handsets in stock page for handset warranty information.
